Mike started in the floral industry at the age of 17 as a part time job after school. Originally it was just sweeping floors and serving customers but it became apparent that there was some interest and budding talent there. The owner of the business started training Mike to do arrangements and the rest as they say is history.
Mike worked in other industries over the years but always kept a hand in floral design and eventually found his way back 6 years ago. In 2021 in the midst of the Pandemic, Mike made the terrifying decision to strike out on his own and started Mike Gibbs Design, a bespoke floral business for weddings, events and special requests. The response has been amazing and Mike is humbled and grateful for the support.
Finally, and most importantly, Mike is a fanatic for Christmas and is very much looking forward to being part of this year's tour!
